The owner always looked after us, and the bed and pillows were really comfortable. Everything was tidy and clean, and we thought breakfast was good value. I especially loved the fruit salad with its delicious mango. The house was lovely, with a cute garden where I could read on a lazy day.

We planned on one night, then stayed two more because the host was lovely and the rooms were so clean. Breakfast was great too, especially the banana pancakes. Free bicycles made it easy to reach both the beach and old town in about 10 minutes.

The host was cheerful and kind, looking after us like a mother, even at 4 am :) The homestay sits a little outside the old town, but there’s everything nearby. Rooms are fairly large, and ours even had a balcony. Facilities are shared, breakfast is freshly cooked, and the Wi-Fi works really well. I’d definitely stay again if I return to Hoi An.

There’s a shared bathroom on each floor, and if one is in use you can go up a level to another one, so we never had to wait. The fruit platter at breakfast was really nice, and the food was tasty. The place is lovely and well maintained, and the owner is a sweet, wonderful lady who makes you feel at home. This homestay is out of this world.

The host was lovely, friendly, and helpful, and the rooms and shared bathrooms were clean and tidy. There was some construction at the back during the day, but it wasn’t a major issue, and the host seemed quite sensitive about it. Free bikes made it cheap and easy to get to the old town and beach. For the beach, skip the parking offered at the end of the road: it isn’t free, and tourists aren’t allowed to ride past the police box. Turn right there instead and find a restaurant with sun chairs. You can leave your bike there for the price of food and drinks you’d probably buy anyway. Food suggestions: TinTin near the hostel and Goop rustic near the big beach intersection. There’s lantern making beside TinTin too. One odd moment as we left: the staff seemed to think we were taking too long with our bags and ‘accidently’ sprayed us with the hose while watering the garden. #vietnamesepassiveagression
