I had a decent stay for the price, and especially liked chatting with the evening staff after 6pm. The neighbors were extremely kind and pleasant. Noise came from both inside and outside, but it didn't bother me too much. Cleanliness was in line with local standards, though I had to put in some effort to feel fully comfortable. The cleaning crew was accommodating and respected my preference for minimal service. I extended my stay several times and wanted to keep the same room. Sometimes I was told it wasn't available, but once I showed my booking, suddenly it was. A little “magic”, I guess, but it worked out. One thing I hadn't realized when booking was that they only accept cash or money transfer. I found out the night before through Agoda, where “pay at hotel” was the only option. Oddly, it seems you can book through Airbnb and pay by card there. A few quirks, so come prepared.

The room itself was fine, but noise made the stay less comfortable. On two mornings in a row, around 5:30am, a very loud Vietnamese man in the hallway woke us up. We couldn't tell whether he was staff or a guest. We could also hear our neighbor's TV clearly through the poor soundproofing, almost as if it were playing in our room. Light sleepers should keep that in mind. Better soundproofing or enforcing quiet hours would improve the guest experience.

The staff were warm and welcoming, and I had a wonderful stay. It's close to a main road, so you do hear some occasional noise, but it generally didn't bother me. I'd highly recommend it. :)
