The Sun Homestay

The location was the one thing I liked, close enough to the old town and cafes. Our room was tiny, the AC worked but made a lot of noise, and it needed a thorough clean. The walls were filthy, the bathroom bin had been left dirty by the previous occupants, and the bedding looked like it had only been pulled up rather than changed. They didn't replace the towels or provide more toilet paper until I asked. We checked out early and moved elsewhere. There are plenty of cleaner, more welcoming places. The hotel was very cheap, and the condition seemed to match the price. I can only speak for our room.

The private room was a really good price, and the host was lovely. We spent five nights here and could walk to everything. We tried the tailoring service and had a very good experience. A few things to know: Wi-Fi was patchy on the third floor, bike hire cost 70k per person, and there's no lift.

We had a very nice four-day stay, two adults and one child. The owner was a lovely, friendly and helpful woman, and our room was spacious and clean. The location worked well too: just a few minutes on foot from the main central streets, so it was a good place to get away from the busy center and rest.

The staff were lovely, and the room and location were decent, but I wouldn't stay here again because of the owner. Her attitude was awful. Even simple, polite requests got a scowl, and I found her really rude for someone whose job involves dealing with guests. Our room was nice enough, but the lock didn't work. We had to barricade the door at night and worry that our things could be stolen while we were out during the day. The owner did our laundry and overcharged us; when it came back, it was still dirty and smelled unwashed. I also woke up with fresh bites from the bed sheets every morning. The stay was cheap, and I can see why.
