If you need a clean place to sleep, freshen up, or stay for a while while looking for housing elsewhere in the city, this hotel worked well for our family. We’d definitely return. It’s not full service, there’s no breakfast, and I wouldn’t expect to be pampered as a foreigner, but the owner handled basic requests courteously and chatted easily with my Vietnamese wife. The location suited our two students, who wanted to look around the neighborhood near Đông Á University. The facilities are a little dated but functional. TV reception was poor, while the water pressure and hot water were good, the air conditioning worked well, and the blackout curtains let us sleep late. The elevator was reliable, the security door locks were modern, and a manager was usually at the lobby reception. Vietnamese cafes and small markets are close by. A solid 3 1/2 star budget option, especially if you’re open to a place that doesn’t cater to foreign customers.

At around $15 a night, Vic House felt like a bargain. I stayed July 12+13 and found the rooms clean and quiet enough for a good night's sleep. The employees were friendly and nice. The service reminded me of five-star places in Bangkok and KL, for a much lower price.

Whenever I’m in the region, I stay at Vic House and feel right at home. It’s absolutely clean, with spacious, nicely furnished rooms, and the staff are friendly. Trang, the owner, is a wonderful, well-educated woman who’s always ready to help with a smile. Rat cam on Trang🌷😊🌹

We had a room with a balcony, and it was really spacious. The thoughtful decor made it one of the best rooms we’ve stayed in in Vietnam. The staff were wonderful, breakfast was very good, and the location was nice. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. I’d recommend it to anyone, and they should be proud of what they’ve built and who they are.

The owner speaks excellent English, and the staff were friendly. The rooms were lovely and clean, with a really comfortable soft bed. Beautiful hotel, highly recommend.
