Zalosea Hotel

The beach is in a great location from here, and the beds were comfortable. The rooms were decent, but the shower wasn't very hot and the AC stopped working after it had been running when I arrived. Check the price before you agree. They just give you a figure and see if you'll pay: the first girl asked for 250,000, then a few hours later the second guy said 300,000, while the rooms are listed online at 200,000.

I came back recently for three weeks after spending 10 weeks here last year, when I was stuck during the first lockdown. The hotel is still just as good. Both times I had a great ocean view, from the 5th floor last year and the front room on the 4th this time. The rooms are cheap and very clean, the reception and housekeeping staff are great, the wifi works well, and the hot water stays hot through your whole shower. You can walk to the beach, lots of cafes, convenience stores, and restaurants, and there's a motorbike rental service across the road. Noise from neighbours below or next door can echo through the room, but that wouldn't stop me staying again. Highly recommend.

The staff were nice, but they seem to be at the owners' mercy. I had a terrible stay, with what felt like a bait and switch on the room. They said, “A/C isn’t working in that room”. I requested a Deluxe Double but got a twin, even though only 3 couples were staying in the 6-floor hotel. They couldn't find me a room with a bigger bed. There was no hot water at all and the fridge didn't work. They asked me to cancel so they wouldn't have to pay commission on the booking.

The price is very reasonable and the beach is close by, which makes the location great. The room was nice enough, but the fridge was broken and there wasn't any hot water.
