Hoian Okra - Hostel

I stayed longer than I first planned and tried both a dorm and a private room. Both were exceptionally hygienic, which is rare to find at this quality in Vietnam. The female dorm is especially spacious, with a high ceiling, and the bunk beds are comfortable and have curtains. It's in a nice spot between the old town and the beach, and it's quiet in the evenings, so I slept well. The facilities are good, with a warm shower every time, and you can tell the owner did a good job with the construction. Everyone was kind and helpful, and there are cute dogs too. 120/100, strongly recommend!

I didn't get to stay at Okra Hoi An Homestay because my room was canceled, but the owner still left me with a great impression. He told me what had happened and then went out of his way to find me somewhere else to stay. I really appreciated how responsible and caring he was about making sure my trip wasn't affected. And the two adorable corgis were so friendly, they instantly cheered me up. Such a lovely touch. I'd definitely consider staying here next time I'm in Hoi An.

I ended up staying 6 nights at Okra Homestay instead of the 2 I originally booked. It's in a great position between the old town and the beach, easy to explore from but still relaxing. The café lounge was a lovely place to work or just hang out, and the breakfast was excellent. My room was quiet and comfortable, and everything seemed thoughtfully arranged. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Phuc was always around with useful advice and help when I needed it, which made the stay feel special. I'd happily come back.

The room was tidy and spacious, with the toilet separate from the shower, and they cleaned it when we asked. There was a damp smell, maybe from the rainy season and humid air, but if that doesn't bother you, it's perfect. Communication was clear from start to finish, and the staff helped with an airport shuttle, tailor suggestions, veggie and vegan food tips, and a coffee workshop. They also did laundry, and had super cute dogs. Thanks :)
