The restaurants were good without being fancy, especially the one facing the beach, and breakfast had a decent range, including Western options. Service was perfectly acceptable, if not stellar. I found a half-board deal online that seemed good value. There are quite a few gentle cats around the property. It's a well-maintained resort right on the beach and not far from the airport. My beach-view room had a nice balcony and a full-size tub overlooking the view. It seems aimed mainly at families with younger kids. The pool is large but shallow, so it gets a little warm. There's a decent slide and an artificial beach at one end; children's music played there one day, while the other side of the pool was quieter. The beach was clean, had a lifeguard, and the waves weren't too big. There's quite a stretch of shallow water before it drops off. I'd heard complaints about a shortage of deckchairs. Things were a little busy late in the morning, around 11am, but I had no trouble getting one, even on a busy holiday weekend.

Our room was just steps from a wide sandy beach, and body boarding in the waves was really fun. We had a balcony room at the Hyatt Regency Danang with views of the ocean and mountains. The service and amenities were very good, and we enjoyed the club lounge, beach sports, and hammocks. My Khe beach, a popular area we visited several times, is just 12 minutes away.

Residence B had a good view, and the status upgrade came with a welcome kombucha and fruit. The kitchen was well stocked with plates and cutlery, with Bravat furnishings and a Smeg hob and oven. Camp Hyatt had a range of kids' activities, and my kid especially liked making pizza. Osteria was probably the best of the on-site restaurants. The fitness center was great, with plenty of equipment plus a sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, and cold plunge. The slide at the main pool was great too. Support through WhatsApp at the Residence lobby was good, depending on who was on duty, and they helped us book a restaurant in Danang. There was a lot of beach frontage, restaurants, and children's play options, though Camp Hyatt was limited to two hours per kid per day, with extra activities costing more. The pool closed to use from 1830 onward. Our two-bedroom suite was dated but usable, with thin walls and flooring that weren't ideal for light sleepers. Checkout was only at the main lobby, which was hard to reach with luggage across such a large property. We couldn't get buggies when needed, and the lobby staff member neither offered to take us from the residence to the hotel lobby nor helped with the bags. Service was hit and miss.

Hana Tran deserves a special mention for being so helpful and making a real difference during our stay. The resort is convenient too, about a 5 minute drive into the main city. It's huge, so it never felt crowded, and there was plenty to do. We loved the beautiful beach and the evening entertainment, including a live singer that added a nice atmosphere. Breakfast was a highlight, with loads of options and the chance to switch restaurants. We tried a different one each day, which kept it interesting. A really lovely stay, and we'd definitely recommend it.

Our family had a nice stay at the Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa. The soft, fine sand on Non Nuoc beach was wonderful, almost like the sand in the maladives, and it's one of the best beaches I've visited. The resort is on a quiet stretch of white sand, a handy base for exploring Central Vietnam for a family holiday or for meetings and events. The rooms have a contemporary look with Vietnamese architectural touches, including local timber, ceramic tea settings, and Asian art. You can choose sea or garden views and private balconies. Some residences have living rooms, and villa rooms have private pools. There are several pools, including one for kids. The resort is steps from Marble Mountain and close to three UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the Imperial City of Huế, the old town of Hội An, and the ruins of My Son Sanctuary.
