The room was fairly clean and the staff were polite, but the breakfast area had no air conditioning on two of the three days I stayed. On my last night, the room smelled strongly of cigarettes from midnight until early morning. I called reception in the middle of the night, but nobody dealt with it.

The location in the center of Quang Binh was handy for getting around and trying the food. The room itself was okay, though I noticed mold on the guide book. The channel list was completely wrong: I tried to put on Cartoon Network for my little brother and got some Vietnamese channel instead, while many other channels didn’t work. Late at night it felt like watching a horror film. The service let the stay down. When we arrived with our luggage, the porter ignored us and kept scrolling TikTok, though the receptionist was enthusiastic. The skybar sign said it was open, but it was unfinished, and the pool seemed small for the space. If you just need somewhere to rest for a day while exploring Quang Binh, this could do. For a longer stay, I’d choose somewhere else.

With unfriendly staff and both the swimming pool and bar closed, I left feeling very disappointed. This local four-star hotel in Vietnam doesn’t come close to the comfortable standards I’d expect even from a three-star place. Never again.

I can’t believe this place is still operating. Just terrible. I don’t even know what to say.

This is not a four-star hotel. The rooms were dirty and stained, the walls were thin, and my room was already left open when I arrived. The hallways were kept dark to “conserve” energy. Disgusting place, more like a motel in the US.
