I paid this tour agent $70 for a 2 day Ha Long Bay cruise, but the boat didn’t match the photos. The brochure promised water and fruit at no charge; neither was provided, and they even tried to charge us for bringing our own water. Kayaking was included in the ticket price, but there was no kayaking either. I didn’t book at the agent’s office. He sold me the ticket from one of the cruise buildings at the waterfront, and I had no contact details for him. Since I paid by credit card, I found him on Google Maps using the name on my statement and wrote this review. Best not to book here.

Reception controls the electricity. There was no hot water when we arrived or after breakfast. I called to ask why the heater was off; they said they’d turn it on, then hung up. I’ve had much better service for less money. The 30k breakfast was very poor too, so skip it.

The owner was really helpful and enthusiastic, even helping us with sightseeing and activities. The hotel is close to the beach, a park, and plenty of restaurants, and the price is reasonable. Families should give it a try.
