My family and I arrived from Hanoi expecting a nice apartment, but the building looked abandoned. With just 20 minutes left before the cancellation deadline, the owner told us to cancel because it was closed. That left us stranded without a hotel. The booking was through booking.com, which is usually trustworthy. Fortunately, another hotel up the road found us a room. Without their hospitality, we would’ve been in trouble.

The building seems okay, although it still looks like renovation is underway. The unit itself was very unpleasant. The owner seemed to wake up on the day we were due to check in and evacuate it for us. There was clutter everywhere, it hadn’t been cleaned, laundry was left on the balcony, and the bathroom was gross. The place smelled of smoke and other musty odors. This was just the one unit we rented through AirBNB.

Our booking was confirmed, but nobody came to the property to let us in. We had to cancel and walk up the street to find somewhere else to stay. Beware, don’t book. DONT BOOK EVER.

Decent double room, with working air con, comfy beds, and a great view.

Staying here was comfortable, and there are services nearby. A good spot for a stay in Ha Long Bay.
