Prosperity Ha Long Hotel

The location was convenient and the room was clean, but the bathroom had a slight bad smell, probably from the sewer. The soundproofing was terrible and left me with very little privacy. I could hear people talking in the hallway, doors clicking constantly, and even the TV in the next room clearly from inside the bathroom. It was noisy and disrupted my rest. The soundproofing is poor, really poor, poor. 🙏🏻🫨

I chose Jayden Hotel for a 4-day, 3-night trip to Ha Long Bay and came away impressed by its service, amenities, and atmosphere for a mid-range place. Beforehand, I was unsure because the reviews ranged from 1 star to 5, but taking a chance worked out well. We were three friends sharing a stay of 3 nights, and it came to just over 700k VND per person. For what it offers, the price felt very reasonable compared with other hotels in the same category. My room was 607, overlooking the pedestrian street. The hotel is in the heart of Ha Long City, a few minutes on foot from Ha Long Bay, Sun World Ha Long Park, and the night market. The room wasn’t luxurious, but it was clean, airy, and well equipped with a flat-screen TV, minibar, air conditioning, and high-speed Wi-Fi. The comfortable mattress helped me sleep well after long days out. The bathroom was neatly laid out, with plenty of hot water and strong water pressure. The staff made a good impression from the start. Reception greeted me warmly, checked me in quickly, and offered advice on places to eat and spend time in Ha Long. Housekeeping kept the room tidy and clean each day. When I asked about booking a Ha Long Bay tour, staff handled it promptly and professionally. The hotel restaurant wasn’t open because it was low season, so we had to eat out and missed the lovely view from the 7th-floor restaurant. Even so, it was a great stay. I’d consider this place for comfortable, convenient accommodation at a reasonable price, and I’ll definitely return on my next trip to Ha Long.

I expected much more for the price, and the gap between the advertisement and what I found was obvious. The bedsheets were stained, the floor dusty, and the bathroom smelled moldy. Staff were cold and unhelpful when I complained. They said the room would be ready at 2 PM, then at 2:30 PM told me it hadn’t been cleaned. The door lock also felt insecure, which made me anxious during my stay. This was a terrible experience, and I’m definitely not coming back. The hotel doesn’t deserve its high online ratings. If you want a comfortable place to rest, stay away. A terrible hotel.
