The hotel and rooms were nice, and it’s a short walk from the beach in an up and coming area. The socket was too high to plug in the kettle, and the fridge wasn’t cold. It only had one beer, one water, and one Coke. From the front of the hotel you can clearly hear awful beach music late at night. Breakfast was a Chinese buffet, with no English breakfast option despite what some booking apps say. We paid only £10 a night.

For the price, it was good enough for my spontaneous getaway at The Exquisite Hạ Long. The room was clean, and the location made it handy for walking around. It’s no fancy palace, but it didn’t cost much either. A solid place to sleep without spending your life savings. 5/5!

The room was new and clean, but the other services weren’t very good. I arrived quite late to find the lights off and nobody at reception. A staff member was asleep in a corner that was hard to see. When I woke him, it took him a few minutes to understand what was going on.
