I wouldn’t recommend Hotel Q. For what it costs, it felt like a total scam, and there are much better hotels in Hanoi that care about cleanliness, comfort, and guests. The air conditioner barely worked, so the room was uncomfortable even at night, and noise from outside and neighboring rooms made it hard to sleep because the walls seemed paper-thin. Staff were rude and unhelpful. Complaints were ignored or met with excuses, and simple things like clean towels or room service took ages or never showed up.

The staff were friendly and courteous, especially Tommy and Daisy at reception, and their suggestions are worth following. Most sights are a 15-20 minute walk away, including the French quarter, walking street, street shopping, and train street. Rooms are small, but the beds are comfortable. Breakfast is adequate, though vegetarian choices are limited.

We only had one night here because our itinerary changed, but the comfortable bed and best breakfast of our two-week trip made a strong impression. The hotel is beautiful and well located, and the staff were very attentive. We had no trouble with noise or communication and would come back.

Abee at reception was efficient and so helpful, and the breakfast staff were second to none. Everyone we met was kind and went out of their way to help. A lovely hotel in the heart of Hanoi.

Service was top notch, and the hotel itself was fine. My main issue was the bathroom tub, which felt poorly designed and was very slippery and difficult to get in and out of. That basic feature brought the room down for me. The mattress was okay, quite firm, but at least had some cushioning.
