Hai Phuong Hotel

The bed and covers were dirty, and I only got cold water in the shower. Water sat there for an hour. I heard noise from the floor above all night, like someone moving furniture. The staff didn’t speak any English, and finding food meant wandering around town to look for a restaurant. The hotel says it has a restaurant, but it doesn’t. Not a good place.

I stayed there in Jan 2017 and paid 250,000 dong for the room. It had free wifi, air conditioning and a refrigerator, and there’s an elevator. The shower had no hot water. Front desk staff spoke passable English. There was no restaurant or bar on site, and tour groups come through the hotel, so it can get noisy and crowded.

The room was spacious, with a small balcony overlooking the river, and the staff were very friendly. The elevator smelled a bit, and there wasn’t a water refill or even free water in the room.

I liked the place. The people were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean. It had toothpaste and shower gel, plus a balcony with a view, a TV and a fridge.
