JoyStay - Hostel

Trung was a big help during our stay, sorting out taxi bookings, recommending things to do across the island, and booking us a trip to Hanoi. The breakfast was delicious, and we especially recommend the banana pancake, the best we've had in Vietnam! The deluxe cottage felt a little small for two people with too much luggage, but we had a lovely experience. The place may look far from the main city, but it's actually very close if you can rent a motorbike, which they offer. A lovely place to stay!

The tours were great, and we'd happily recommend this place. It's a handy base for exploring Cat Ba island, with friendly hosts, comfortable beds, and simple but charming rooms. Breakfast is good, and they can arrange motorbikes through a neighbor.

I really liked the food here, especially the spring rolls and banana pancakes. The owner clearly enjoys looking after people and goes out of his way to help. The cosy huts make this feel like a little island hideaway, and you can rent a scooter right there. Cat-ba is turning into a playground for wealthy property buyers, so supporting small homestays helps the people who care about the island 🌱

Minh and his team made our stay. He has great ideas for things to see and do, and can arrange pretty much anything you need. We loved the cute, comfortable units and the delicious food at their little restaurant, which is very reasonably priced. It's a peaceful place away from the bustle, but you can still get to it easily, and the rooms are affordable.
