Sunshine hostel Cat Ba

I recently booked a day cruise and was completely satisfied. The guide may not have been the strongest English speaker, but the way they sincerely looked after customers was the best part for me.

On the Cat Ba Day Cruise, our guide Cuong did a great job. The day’s itinerary was just right, with a floating village visit, kayaking, swimming and fish massage at Viet Hai. Hong Van Cruise also served the best seafood. A must do when you’re in Hanoi.

Cuong was so kind and paid attention to everyone on the boat. My family and I had an awesome half-day trip. Thank you so much!

The bay views left me with unforgettable memories, and the first day gave us a nice look at Lan Ha bay’s amazing scenery. We had a good English-speaking guide who took us past the fishermen’s floating village, then we went on a smaller boat for kayaking, cycling and swimming. There wasn’t much time for each activity, though. One sad part, which the company isn’t responsible for, was seeing trash all over the water. It may get worse over the years, and Vietnam may be struggling with it. We booked a nice room for two, but the guide asked us a few times to share it with another couple for a discount. When we said no, we were moved to a smaller room. I didn’t like that. The meals, lunch, breakfast and dinner, were all simple and similar. We booked the 2-night, 1-day cruise in advance and paid half online. Since everything was arranged online and through WA, we weren’t sure what to expect, but the communication beforehand was very good. I still recommend the cruise, though be aware they overbook, so you might be asked to share or be downgraded. We were just glad we’d booked ahead.
