This hotel made our time in Cat Ba so memorable. The host was amazing, and the reviews here really don’t do the place justice. Our room was clean and really nice, with both a fan and aircon, and breakfast was included and delicious. They also rent bikes at a really reasonable price and can arrange transport wherever you’re heading next. Of all the places we stayed in SE Asia, this was easily the most hospitable and best value for money. Credit to the lovely owner.

They’ve been running this OG hotel for more than 15 years, and it’s managed by a kind couple. The rooms aren’t spotless or modern, but it’s one of the cheapest places in town and great value for the price she charges. Google Maps doesn’t give it justice. Booking.com has an 8.7 rating from more than 200 reviews. Free breakfast and two free water bottles too 😊😇

The couple running Thành Trung Hotel are lovely, and if you let them, they’ll treat you like family. I really enjoyed staying there. Breakfast and dinner were included, the laundry service was great, and they even do clothes repairs.

The service and location make this one of the best places we’ve stayed so far. The hotel owner is epic and very kind, and it’s amazing value for money.

I booked using the Agoda app, but the hotel canceled my reservation without telling me before I arrived. The service was awful and customer support poor. Reception staff weren’t helpful, the attitude toward customers was terrible, and dealing with the owner felt unstable.
