The room was fairly priced and came with basic toiletries and essentials like water. Having a balcony made it feel airier and more spacious. The main drawback was the bathroom setup: the shower and toilet weren't separated, so the whole floor got wet when I showered and was uncomfortable to use afterward. At times there was also a slight unpleasant smell from the toilet.

We were trying to keep costs down, and this place suited us perfectly. It's clean and well located, and the communication was clear and timely. We didn't meet the host, but the arrival instructions were easy to follow, so we let ourselves in and showered before heading out to make the most of our time. They gave us their WhatsApp number, and I get the feeling they'd have been quick to respond if we'd needed help. We wanted some help booking excursions, though we ended up going elsewhere for that.

They cancelled our room just hours before we arrived, while we were already on the plane. We’d booked at least a month ahead, but they said they were overbooked and showed no concern about whether we could find somewhere else to stay. Completely unprofessional. I’d give zero stars if I could. Stay away.

The owner was really kind and checked in regularly to see if I had what I needed. She also shared a list of places and things to do. The room was quiet enough despite being close to Hanoi’s busy streets, and it was easy to step out of the residential complex and straight into the city. The homestay is tucked behind Train Street in a local residential complex. The building feels a little small and divided up, but the owner has clearly put care into making it cozy, with modern decor and colorful Vietnamese touches. The facilities worked well for me, especially the water dispenser and fast Wi-Fi for remote work. A lovely local couple did a great job cleaning and regularly changing the sheets, even choosing colors to match the room. There’s affordable, tasty local food nearby, along with laundry, banks, gyms, and major sights within about a 30-minute walk. I thought it was great value for the price and would happily return.
