Centre Point Hanoi Hotel

The location made it easy to explore the Old Quarter, and it wasn’t too noisy. Breakfast came with lake views, which was lovely for the price. Lily and the rest of the team were helpful and fun to be around. It was my first trip staying away as a solo female traveller, and I actually felt sad saying goodbye to the hotel staff. Thank you!

The buildings around the hotel were a bit dirty, which was disappointing, hahaha. Still, it’s a quiet, comfortable place and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Hanoi for the first time. It’s compact but has everything we needed. Ms Lily at the concierge desk was very professional, and her advice was spot on. Breakfast was pleasant too.

We spent three nights here at the start of a longer trip around Vietnam. The location is the main draw, though the facilities and service were very good as well. We had a bit of confusion over the airport transfer, but the doorman resolved it quickly. Lily, the concierge, knew her stuff and helped with all our questions. I’d recommend the hotel to all kinds of travellers.

The best thing here is the location. It’s in the Old Quarter, about a two-minute walk from Hoan Kiem and close to the French quarters too. We enjoyed breakfast each morning in the restaurant on the eighth floor, especially the lovely open area facing the lake. Lily was always gracious. We stayed four days. The staff were courteous and did their best to accommodate us. The rooms are quite small, though they have the conveniences you’d expect. We’d hoped for more open views and a greater sense of space from a lake-facing hotel. On the lower floors, surrounding buildings block the view of Hoan Kiem Lake; we got a glimpse from the sixth floor. The seventh floor, the top one, seems to be the most sought-after. There aren’t many shared areas to lounge in. Like many budget hotels in Hanoi, it’s a long, narrow building, with a small reception on the ground floor and a small terrace restaurant rather than a grand lobby or other spacious common areas.
