Charming Moon Hotel

We booked a balcony room, and a nearby speaker woke us every morning early. Before then, it wasn't too noisy, and if you're an early riser it should be fine. The location is handy, very close to beer street, so we could drag ourselves back after a big night out. The daytime receptionist, whose name I forgot to ask, was informative and happy to help. Thanks.

The rooms were comfortable and clean, and I could walk to Hoan kiem lake, beer street, shopping areas, and places like pizza 4ps, the note cafe, Bahn mi 25, roti king, and sky lounge. I loved my time in Hanoi and hope I get back one day. Jay, the manager, made things easy. He was flexible when my booking and plans changed, knew a lot about the city and country, and suggested things to see and do as well as the safest ways to get around. He even helped me find somewhere to buy a portable charger, then charged it for me while I was out. He took care of everything with a smile, suggested alternatives to avoid flooded areas during wet season, and booked buses and transfers for me. I stayed here for my first couple of nights in Hanoi, then came back after visiting a few other places in Vietnam. Fabulous city, fabulous stay. Thanks so much, Jay, you're a legend!

We enjoyed watching people from our balcony room. The room was clean, and there was even an elevator for luggage. Jay at reception was really friendly and had lots of helpful information. The only downside was a slight sewage smell in the bathroom, but closing the door took care of it. We stayed three nights.

The sixth-floor balcony room had a view I loved, and it was big enough for me. The sink had a bit of a problem, so I'd give the room four stars. I picked this hotel for the location, which was perfect for me, and the staff were nice and provided good service.
