Cocoon Inn

The rooftop patio had great sunsets, and there’s a nice bar. At night, the city closes the road right outside to traffic for the night markets, and a great club scene is a 5minute walk away. I liked the in-room shower and the comfortable beds, each with a reading light, your own fan, and curtains all around for privacy. My room was on the third floor, though, so I could hear the bar music until midnight. Awesome hostel.

I slept better here than at home. The beds are super comfortable, the rooms are great, and the whole building seemed really clean and well designed. There are big lockers, good common areas for hanging out and meeting people, and the price is very reasonable. The staff helped with everything I needed, including when I had to go to the hospital late at night. I really appreciate a good hostel, and the staff are what make this one. I’d give them 10 stars if I could, and couldn’t recommend the place more.

It’s right in the center of the Old Quarter, which is very convenient, though the area can feel hectic. Whether that suits you depends on the atmosphere you like. My room was cozy and clean, with very comfortable beds, private-like bunks, and big security lockers. The staff were attentive and helpful, including with booking parts of my journey. Great experience overall.

The beds were the highlight for me, easily the most comfortable mattress I’ve slept on in Asia. I also liked the curtains and having my own fan, and the rooms were clean with a proper contained shower rather than a wet room. Reception were helpful and even remembered I prefer bottom bunks. There’s a free luggage storage area, a rooftop terrace, and a relaxed TV room. The busy bar downstairs can’t be heard from the dorms. Fantastic hostel in Hanoi’s Old Quarter, I’d highly recommend it.
