Dolce by Wyndham Hanoi Golden Lake

The golden infinity pool was a highlight, with a beautiful lake view and a relaxing place to unwind after sightseeing. Grab taxis were easy to find right at the hotel lobby, and breakfast each morning had lots of delicious choices. The room was spacious, impressive, and had modern washroom amenities. What made the stay especially comfortable was the hospitality. Every staff member was warm, courteous, and ready to help, so we felt welcome throughout. A fantastic experience at Dolce by Wyndham, Hanoi, highly recommended for a visit to Hanoi! 🏨✨

Getting to the Old Quarter or Hoan Kiem Lake took longer than expected because the hotel sits a little way in from the main street. That distance was noticeable when we wanted to get around, though the calm, opulent atmosphere made it easier to accept when we returned. Inside, the gold-plated details, polished marble floors, and grand lobby create a very indulgent feel. The rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished, with plush bedding and elegant gold accents. The bathrooms have high-end finishes and were a comfortable place to unwind after exploring. Service was warm and attentive, and the amenities fit the upscale style, including the rooftop pool and dining options. Dolce by Wyndham Hanoi Golden Lake is a distinctive, luxurious stay, with a level of comfort and grandeur that sticks with you. Just allow some extra time to reach the city's busiest spots.

The hotel is beautiful, the pool and restaurants are nice, and my room was comfortable and well maintained. It was a little far from places we wanted to visit, like the Old Quarter. Staff outside the spa were incredibly friendly and helpful. My spa massage was awful, and I'd never go back for one. Nobody asked what I wanted, and I got barely any instructions on how to prepare. The therapist seemed uninterested and spent 40 minutes on the same muscles between my shoulder blades. Then she turned me around, dug her fingernails into my scalp for a few minutes, slapped my forehead hard for a few minutes, and said the neck and shoulder massage was done. She barely worked on my shoulders and didn't massage the front or sides of my neck. I get massages around the world, and this was the worst I've had. I'd suggest going somewhere else for a massage.

The service fell below expectations, and charges such as deposits weren't clearly explained in advance. The hotel is marketed as five-star, but my stay didn't live up to that. Vegetarian and Indian breakfast choices were very limited, and many basic amenities cost extra. Complimentary water was restricted, while extra bottles were overpriced. Indian travelers should check the facilities and policies carefully before booking to avoid disappointment.
