The most upsetting moment came at checkout: staff refused to give us drinking water, saying it was chargeable because we were leaving that day. To me, refusing a guest basic water at a supposed five-star hotel was disgraceful. The whole stay felt like a transaction, with concerns handled without empathy. Staff seemed focused on finding ways to charge for things, and showed little warmth, courtesy, or care. Their attitude and service fell below basic hospitality standards. Grand Vista Hotel badly disappointed me, and I wouldn't recommend it. Plenty of other hotels understand what looking after guests means.
