I arrived after midnight because of a late flight, and the staff were accommodating about checking me in so late. The room, unfortunately, wasn't in an acceptable condition. There were insects on the tea counter and in the bathroom, and one crawled across my bed. Since it was late, I put up with it for the night. The air conditioner was collecting water and dripping onto the floor, so I had to put down a towel. It made falling asleep difficult. The receptionist the next day was friendly, but I just wanted to check out. I hope the hotel improves the room hygiene for future guests.

The room itself was fine, and at least the bed was clean, which I think matters a lot in a hotel. The service, though, was really bad. We booked a standard room with two beds about 45 minutes before arriving. An older man at reception told us there wouldn't be a booking in the system for a same-day reservation, which wasn't true. I checked and could see our booking under our name, but he still refused to let us stay, saying there were no rooms and we had to pay 500k for a different one. That was rude and wrong. He argued with us for a long time and wasted our time at midnight. Eventually he gave us the key for the room we'd booked, then said he should have told us all the rooms were unavailable so we could leave. I could speak with him in Vietnamese, but my husband couldn't. What would he have done if I hadn't been there, or if another international traveler were alone? A three-star hotel shouldn't have staff like this. Shame on you.
