Free breakfast and the amazing location more than made up for the slight smell in the ensuite toilet, which was a little like a leaking pipe. The rooms were clean and spacious, and it’s a great base for exploring Hanoi. Definitely not a deal breaker.

We booked here for the large rooms, windows, and location by the market. Instead, when we arrived at night, the receptionist claimed he couldn’t find our booking. We later learned that was a lie because our executive suite, the one with the better view, had been given to someone else. The manager wouldn’t answer staff calls about it. The next day they said our booked room would be ready by the time we got back from sightseeing that night, and asked us to pack our bags so they could transfer them. We returned to find nothing had changed, and the manager was nowhere to be found. On the third day, we finally got the room we’d asked for, but it smelled awful, apparently due to the WC drainage. A complete disappointment. Breakfast was minimal, the coffee had run out and wasn’t refilled, and there were only one or two fruits. On our last day, the manager showed up and offered an airport cab to make up for the trouble, then blamed the staff for all the confusion. It felt like this was repeated behavior at the hotel. This was our only bad hotel stay in Vietnam. The rest of Vietnam was an excellent experience.

I had a great stay. The rooms were modern and clean, with free toiletries and drinks, and breakfast had a good mix of hot and cold food. The hotel is right in central Hanoi, near lots of nice restaurants and Train Street. I’d recommend it.

For 700k a night, I thought it was worth it. I stayed December 28th-29th 2025, and that included a decent, delicious all-you-can-eat breakfast. The staff speak good English and are friendly enough. There was hot water, amenities, and a heater that worked. The only small downside was the TV didn’t work well, but I’ve stayed at three hotels around Sapa-Ha Noi and none of their TVs worked properly either 😂
