The photos were accurate, but the quality didn’t quite live up to them. The downstairs cafe seemed to be only partly operating. The receptionist was also covering barista duties, and nobody was around when we checked out, so we left the key at the bar with a note. It’s a shame the hotel isn’t better maintained.

There’s a strong Japanese theme, with a bit of a running-club feel. The team was helpful, and the casual atmosphere made it a cool spot. I tried the coffee and liked the taste. It was a little dusty and simple, but the drinks were decent and the view of West Lake was good.

Loved finding this hostel! The rooms are spacious, quiet, and clean, and the price is reasonable for the area. The boss and staff are friendly. You can enjoy the lovely scenery with an ice cream, and it’s also a good place to work on your English or Japanese while on vacation. I’d definitely come back! 😍🥰
