The room had no window, but that didn’t bother us. If daylight matters to you, ask for a room with a window ahead of time. Ours was a small hostel room with an ensuite, AC, Wi-Fi, and a hot shower. The mattress was very hard, and there were lots of narrow stairs, though the staff helped carry our bags, which we really appreciated. The location in the Old Quarter couldn’t be better, with everything nearby. Staff were kind and helpful, especially Lisa. The AC worked well, Wi-Fi was reliable, and there was plenty of hot water. We’d come back for the location and lovely staff.

For a short stay, the place was acceptable and the price for two rooms was reasonable. The location was great. But the mattress was very firm, and the old shower leaked water onto the bathroom floor. There was also a lot of noise from guests walking along the hall and stairs. At checkout we were charged an extra 3%, which hadn’t been clearly stated when we booked. With some improvements, the stay could be much better.

My room was really noisy, though it wasn’t the street nearby. Music and videos played in the lobby all night. I was most shocked by the moldy “shower”, just a shower head in a toilet. I was so disgusted that I moved out after one day instead of staying the two. The laundry service was great, and the staff were good too.

The location worked really well for us, near the Lake and Beer Street, with great food all around. There’s a coffee shop downstairs, craft beer, and plenty of spas nearby. The staff were terrific, the service was exceptional, and we had hot water too. Just be ready for lots of stairs. We took the bright side and counted it as exercise. A lovely stay, so 4 stars.

Everything was walkable from this place, which was perfect for me during my three nights there. The room had what I needed for a comfortable stay, and reception was amazing, welcoming, professional, and helpful. I’m really glad I picked it.
