The hosts made me feel comfortable right away, they were friendly and easy to approach. The room was quite spacious, with a little balcony where I could sit with coffee and watch the old town moving along outside the house. I only stayed one night after a long ride before heading back to my hometown, but this has been one of my best stays in Hanoi so far. I'd definitely come back.

Getting into this homestay through a jacket shop was a new one for us. The location is convenient, and the hosts were lovely and helpful. Cleanliness in the room could have been better. We also found used soap bars in the bathroom, which felt odd. When we asked for shower gel, they brought some, but it wasn't fresh either. Even with those issues, the hosts' hospitality was commendable.

We could join the uncle on the first floor to watch sports in the little dining area, and the couple running the place were very friendly. They did our laundry, set up the TV so we could watch football, and kept our luggage for an extra day while we went to Ha Long Bay. You enter through a jacket store. The rooms could have been cleaner, and some of the utensils in ours were dirty.

The old couple who run this homestay are very friendly and do their best to help with things like travel plans, meals, cruises, and laundry. Their English is limited, but they still try hard to communicate. Bao, their little dog, is adorable. The place is in a prime spot near the old quarters.

We had a clean room and a lovely family made us feel welcome, so it worked perfectly for one night. There was an unpleasant drain smell in the bathroom, but keeping the door to the bedroom shut made it okay.
