Ba Sao Hotel

I was there for a long stay, from November 28th to December 14th, and felt very comfortable. The staff, especially Linh, kept my belongings safe while I was away on trips. Breakfast came with the stay, and the staff were friendly. The room was comfortable and decent, though it wasn't quite as clean as I'd like. I'm a clean freak, so it wasn't a major problem for me. A nice 3 star hotel.

The staff were so kind and helpful that I added a star, even though I've stayed in much better Vietnamese 3 star hotels. Our room smelled strongly of cigarette dust, and the rooms are worn and not as tidy as you'd expect. In the bathroom mirror it looked like it had never been cleaned, there were brand marks on the duvet, and bits were missing from the wall. We switched rooms hoping for somewhere quieter. The hotel is down a very narrow alley with no car access. There is secure bike parking and a small, nice lounge on the rooftop.

We had a great stay at Ba Sao Hotel in Hanoi. The staff were kind and ready to help with anything we needed for the trip, and the manager was especially helpful. The hotel was clean and the WiFi was excellent. Thanks so much, we'll be back.

We booked one night through booking.com for Tet in 2018, but when we arrived the hotel was shut and locked. It was frustrating that we could still book, but there were plenty of other places in Hanoi, and we understood the staff might take time off for the new year. We had paid £11 by card, cancelled through booking.com, got the money back, and found somewhere else. I thought that was the end of it. Today they tried to charge my card 4,700,00VND. I'm waiting to speak with my bank's fraud team. It's crazy to try charging £163 for a one-night booking made over two years ago, when we arrived to find the hotel closed for the lunar new year. AVOID! FRAUDSTERS.
