Lucien Hanoi Lakeside Hotel & Rooftop

The staff really made our stay. They upgraded our room when we arrived, arranged laundry, and set up a massage at the spa. Everyone was kind, cheerful, and ready to help with anything. Our room was spotless and huge, with a balcony. The rooftop cocktail bar was a great spot to watch the Lunar New Year fireworks, and the drinks were tasty and strong. Breakfast had a lovely range of food, too. The hotel is beautiful and right in the heart of Hanoi, with the attractions easy to reach.

BIN made our honeymoon feel extra special. They were so friendly and attentive, helped with recommendations, and were always ready when we needed something. The whole team made us feel looked after, and communication was easy since the staff spoke English well. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and a lovely place for a honeymoon. Every interaction felt sincere and welcoming. Thanks for making the trip so memorable. We’d happily come back and recommend it to anyone visiting Vietnam. BIN deserves a shoutout, and honestly a raise too!

The breakfast buffet was excellent, with lots of choices, plus you could order omelets, pho, and other things from the kitchen. The free afternoon tea was pretty blah, though. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the clean rooms had the basics, with a very comfortable bed and fresh pressed sheets. It’s close to the lake in a calmer part of the Old Town, away from some of the streets where bars blast music late into the night. I took off a star because the WiFi kept dropping every five minutes.

Dana and Alice ❤️ went out of their way when we missed our Ha Long Bay shuttle on the first day. They stayed committed to finding us another ride so we could reach our boat on time. I’ll always remember how much they helped us. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the staff were welcoming throughout. We also enjoyed the restaurant, laundry service, spa, and the surrounding area. The Lucien is in the heart of the old quarter, and the service is a real strength. We’d recommend it and book again next time we’re in Hanoi. A small improvement to breakfast, especially the espresso, would make it even better.
