Hanoi Brilliant Hotel and Spa

After a horrible first hotel, Hanoi Memory legend, we checked out within an hour and searched around before choosing this place. Nick at reception and Niah were both very helpful. The rooms were super clean, the service was top notch, and breakfast had a good range of options. No complaints, and we're very happy with our choice.

We stayed four nights and the staff made the trip a highlight. Reception, the activities coordinator, restaurant team, rooftop bar staff, bellboys, and cleaning crew were all warm, friendly, and helpful. They showed the same kind, thoughtful spirit we found throughout Vietnam. Our room was spacious, nicely appointed, and a comfortable place to come back to after exploring. The lake was just steps away, and in the evenings it filled with lights, energy, and dancing. Train Street, the Old Quarter, and plenty of street-food stalls were also an easy walk away. I'd recommend booking a 3-4 hour food tour to enjoy the local flavors. A fantastic stay.

James was especially easy to reach and helpful throughout, and Quân was just as kind and supportive. The rest of the team were lovely too, always smiling and doing their best to help us in every way. We had a few miscommunications about the tour companies partnered with the hotel, but they didn't stop us from having a good experience. Worth staying!

The lounge was a little disappointing because the gravel-like flooring seemed odd and possibly unsafe. The staff were fine with us bringing in drinks from a nearby Circle K, though. I didn't try the spa. Our room was a decent size, with good A/C, wifi, hot water, and a rain shower. Breakfast had a nice range, and the Old Quarter location made it easy to get around. The staff were lovely and helpful.
