Hanoi Hotel

The staff, including the receptionists, were lovely, and the place felt clean and fresh. I was really satisfied with my stay and felt relaxed. Breakfast had a good range of dishes, including options prepared for people on diets. I wanted to give it a 6, but 5 is the highest rating available. Thanks for the time at Hanoi Hotel. I’ll choose it again next time I stay. ❤️

The staff earned the two stars I’m giving this place. They tried to sort out my internet, though plugging in Ethernet only improved it by 5mbps. Someone helped with my luggage at check-in, but nobody seemed interested in helping me get it back outside. I booked for the business centre and fitness centre, only to find both closed for “renovations.” Guests should be told before they pay. The Wi-Fi kept dropping all morning, and the internet was under 75mbps, awful for a “high-end” hotel. Melia hotel is much better for facilities and internet. The TV had only three movie channels, and I’ve stayed in homestays that were better. My room felt cramped, wasn’t very nice, and had a window that couldn’t be opened for fresh air. I don’t recommend it. There are better options for less.

It’s a charming hotel with a slightly old-fashioned feel, and there are renovated rooms, though I didn’t stay in one this time. Maybe next trip. The central location is handy, but if you’re travelling for business, keep in mind the traffic getting in and out.

The lake-view room was quiet, even though the hotel is downtown. It’s an older place, but clean, and the staff were friendly. The restaurant was nice too, and the food wasn’t bad.
