Hanoi Old Quarter Hostel

The place was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and we felt welcome as soon as we arrived thanks to the friendly, accommodating staff. Restaurants and the night market are within walking distance, which made getting around very convenient. A great stay for good service and an excellent location!

I had a great stay here. Everyone was friendly and accommodating, including Mr. Tang and the rest of the staff. The hostel is in a perfect spot, within walking distance of tourist attractions, souvenir shops, famous coffee shops, and restaurants. It's very affordable, and guests get a discount at the spa too.

We had an awful experience here. From the start, reception felt cold and unwelcoming, and nobody seemed willing to help. There was no elevator, the stairs were extremely difficult with luggage, and no one offered assistance. The rooms smelled terrible and felt disgusting, with unacceptable cleanliness and filthy, poorly maintained toilets. We were also treated disrespectfully. Reception closes early, and if you arrive after 1 AM, you're left outside with no solution, basically expected to sleep on a bench. They don't offer refunds for anything, and when we raised concerns, we were just told to deal with it. There was no help, consideration, or accountability. Shocking and disgraceful. I'd strongly advise people to avoid this place.

We booked at the last minute and paid 900K VND per night. The first night, noise from the upstairs neighbor kept us awake until 3 AM. The Wi-Fi was very weak, and even our roaming data didn't work well here. Staff were really helpful with our late check-in and carried our bags up to the third floor, since many hostels around here apparently don't have lifts. We also tried the full-body massage at a special guest rate. Vietnamese massage was a different experience. See you, Hanoi.
