Hanoi Pho Hotel

The location is really convenient, and the service was top-notch. Our rooms were spacious and very clean, with great air conditioning. The night-shift receptionist helped us book day-long tours as well. I’d recommend this hotel.

The room was peaceful and private, and the beds were so comfortable that we slept through the night undisturbed for the first time in four months. We stayed for four nights, and John, Helen, and the evening staff treated us like family, taking care of everything we needed. They helped us find things to do in Hanoi, got us an affordable taxi, and arranged a very affordable room upgrade when they had availability. They also provided a high-quality motorbike at a very affordable price. There are restaurants and plenty to do nearby, but the room itself was completely quiet. Breakfast was free, and you can see the city from the hotel’s top floor. I’d love to come back and highly recommend it.

The staff were friendly, kind, and spoke well, and breakfast was reasonable for what it was. The rooms felt very basic for the price, though, and the heating didn’t work. A draft came into our room, which was really cold during a Hanoi winter. The blankets were thin too, so we had to sleep in tracksuits to stay warm. The coffee was terrible. Bring instant coffee and ask for a cup of boiling water. We enjoyed the stay, but a couple of small improvements could have made it much better.

John, my new best friend and tour guide, was a big help. The staff were great, and breakfast was nice, mostly Western style. Our inner room was very quiet, and the bathrooms were good, though a bit more water pressure would’ve been nice. Thanks for a great stay, everyone. I’m looking forward to seeing you again soon.
