Hanoi Street Hotel

We had a balcony of a nice size and three twin beds, and the showers stayed hot. The rooms were very clean, with free Wi-Fi, and the front desk staff were lovely. Train street is right next door, and there’s good food at the hotel. The area felt a bit more Western, with blander food than southern Vietnam, though it was still very good. The location worked well, and the TV had English language channels for anyone who cares.

The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and polite. It’s tucked off the main road in the old quarter, which made for a brilliant location. They also sorted out a Ha Long Bay booking for us, so that was really easy. We loved staying here.

We booked for two nights on the day itself. The room wasn’t as charming as the café, but it was spacious and clean, with a window and a bathroom with a tub that gave us a separate place to shower. For the price and location, it was a good place to sleep and wash up, and I’d recommend it. The hotel sits in a food market, so there’s some noise, but it quieted down by 10 pm at the latest. The bed was large, though the mattress was extremely hard, my only real complaint. Breakfast banh mi was fresh, but could’ve used some vegetables. The staff were very friendly and let us leave our luggage there for the day. The restaurant across the street was quite good, and just around the corner, turn right then left from the hotel, there’s an extremely good vegan/vegetarian restaurant.

The staff made the stay for me. They were professional, always smiling, and went out of their way to handle requests. Everything felt friendly, and the service was top-notch. I’ll definitely come back to Hanoi Street Hotel.
