Hanoi Sweet Family Homestay

The people are what make Hanoi Family Hostel special. Perfume and her family were genuinely kind from the moment I arrived, always attentive and available, and they did so much to make guests feel welcome and comfortable. The hostel is right in the center, and the breakfast is excellent. I’ve never felt so at home in a hostel. That personal warmth turned a simple stay into something unforgettable. If you’re in Hanoi, I can’t recommend it enough.

Our room was roomy and comfortable, with a street-facing balcony. It could get a bit noisy at night, but we were so tired it didn’t bother us. The Wi-Fi was great, and the shower had excellent pressure and temperature. The homestay is in a great spot in the Old Quarter, near Train Street. We stayed three nights, and Perfume and her family were always ready to help, suggest places, and greet us with a smile. Their breakfast was a 10. Thanks to Perfume and all the ladies in the house. We hope to visit again soon.

They even let us leave our big bags there after checkout while we went on the ha long bay cruise, then collect them the next day. The staff were welcoming and kind, and breakfast was delicious. It’s about a two-minute walk from train street, so you’re close to the action without the street noise. I’d recommend this home stay to anyone visiting Hanoi.

Our room was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. Dear Thao, thank you especially for making sure we lacked for nothing during the stay. You were patient and professional, flexible, resilient, and incredibly organized. The homestay team did everything they could to make us comfortable and at home. We felt the warmth, openness, kindness, and hospitality of the Vietnamese people. A thousand thanks for everything.
