The room was barely bigger than the bed, and the frosted window looked onto a dark rear space, so there wasn’t really anything to see. Still, we got our money’s worth. The bed was comfortable, the place was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Great location, too. Next time, though, we’d pay more for a room with more space and a view.

We made good use of the luggage storage, since we didn’t want to take our big bags to ninh binh, and the hotel kept them overnight. There are lots of Indian restaurants close by; Raj Bhog is about 40 steps away and is good. Hoàn Kiếm Lake is around a 10-minute slow walk, and the jewellery shops for currency exchange are nearby too. The room size and view were average, but that’s fine for a budget stay in the old quarter. The room was clean and had the amenities we needed already, even things like a razor and comb, and the staff were courteous and helpful.

Hana and Thoine, thanks to you and the whole team. I really appreciated how much care you put into making guests feel valued. From check-in onward, the staff were welcoming and attentive, and the room was spotless and well kept. Everyone I dealt with was friendly, professional, and quick to help with requests. It made for a stay that went beyond what I expected, and I’d definitely recommend the hotel.

The standout for us was the service, especially Mr. Lewis. He helped all the way from arranging a custom breakfast box for our early departure to Halong Bay through to checkout. Everyone really tried to make the stay good, and the luggage storage was handled very well, which mattered because we went to Sapa on our first trip to Vietnam. I chose this hotel after the one a friend recommended was full and I’d read the reviews. We stayed at the beginning of 2026. It’s in a handy spot in the old quarter, with food and shopping within walking distance, and our room was clean and well maintained. If we get back to Vietnam, this will be our first choice. Thank you.

The area is busy, and it wouldn’t be my pick for a quiet, relaxed stay. Still, it’s convenient, with shops and other places close by, and I can see it suiting people who want to be near everything. The service was excellent, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the breakfast buffet had a good range. Good value for what you get. More food than photo I uploaded. I had a great stay at Vancanza Hotel.
