Hanvet Hotel Hanoi

We kept extending our stay because my partner had to remain in the nearby hospital. After a long, difficult day, the room felt like a comforting place to land. It was clean, spacious, modern, and had hot running water. We first arrived as walk-ins close to 3am, and a staff member who’d been sleeping at the entrance woke up to check us in. The staff stayed friendly and helpful even with the language barrier. Google Translate made communication easy enough, and they also handled my laundry for a very affordable price. There are plenty of food and drink places nearby, apart from Vietnamese food too, thanks to the university close by. I didn’t take any photos, but the pictures in other reviews are accurate. Thank you, Hanvet hotel, for making things comfortable during such a dark time. It meant a lot.

The cheap room gets daylight, and the shower has great pressure and temperature. There’s Netflix on the TV, too. It’s a calm area away from traffic noise and tourist traps, and the hotel is among the cleanest you’ll find, with no bugs. You’ll need to take Grab to reach the attractions, but it’s worth it if you want a clean place and a good night’s sleep.

Really good. It’s tucked a little way back from the main road, but that’s no big problem.

It’s a newer hotel, so the internet is incredibly fast. Our room was serviced daily or every other day, as we preferred. The staff team is small but attentive, and they did a lot to make us comfortable as tourists, even though the hotel seems more geared toward families visiting hospital patients or students at the nearby university. Google Translate got us past the language barrier. Hanvet is outside the Old Quarter, which may or may not suit you. I found that area hectic, noisy, and overpriced. Here it was quiet at night, with a great park nearby for walks and delicious local food at reasonable prices. It’s about a $2 cab ride to the Old Quarter. If you’re fine with a 10-minute taxi ride, or like wandering local neighborhoods, this place is amazing for the price.
