The service was impeccable and the bed was very comfortable. Cuong, the general manager, went out of his way for our honeymoon, making sure we got a suite upgrade through my diamond status and arranging a nice welcome cake. When I mentioned a few minor things that didn’t need fixing, he quietly took care of them during room service the next day. Minh at reception and the rest of the staff were also super helpful, and requests were handled amazingly quickly. I’d heard people say the rooms were outdated, so I was a bit concerned before our five day stay. The wood does look oldish, but everything was perfectly maintained and spectacularly clean. There was no peeling paint, and the bedding and bathroom were great. The breakfast live counter had some good pho and different egg combinations. There could have been more buffet choices, especially protein, but I had no complaints. I’d stay here again without a doubt.

Room 811 worked well for me and my colleague, and both the room and breakfast were good for the price. What really stood out was the staff. The FO and FB teams were warm and welcoming, especially Ms. Thu and Nhi. When construction outside made it hard to get a taxi, Nhi kindly helped me book a Grab. I’ll definitely stay here next time 🔥🔥🔥

The lobby restaurant food was great and gave us a chance to try more Vietnamese dishes, but I’m concerned about the hotel’s overall cleanliness after what happened. At breakfast on the first morning, I found a long dark hair in one of the serving dishes. The next morning, there was what looked like a short animal hair, maybe a cat hair, in my scrambled eggs. We’d arrived in the evening after a long trip and checked each room before unpacking. In the first room I spotted two little white bugs crawling under a pillow. I wasn’t sure what they were, but asked to change rooms. The staff moved us quickly to another room on the same floor. I still felt uneasy, though they changed the linens and I checked the bed again myself. Seeing how distressed I was, they eventually upgraded my family to a suite. They were quick to try to make sure we were comfortable, and I appreciated that.

The room was large and clean, with a roomy bathroom, complimentary water, and a delicious breakfast buffet. The breakfast staff were friendly and keen to help too. The hotel’s style is a little dated, but the location is hard to beat, and my room was so quiet it was hard to believe I was in the middle of Hanoi city center. This was my first time at a Hilton Garden Inn, and I was pleasantly surprised. The team greeted us warmly with delicious welcome drinks. As a diamond member, I felt they really made an effort to look after my husband and me, and everyone was professional and eager to help. I’d definitely stay again if I’m back in Hanoi.

I stayed here twice during the trip, and both times the staff were amazing. They really try to make you feel welcome and go out of their way to help. Breakfast was very nice too. The neighborhood is more local, which means the rooms are quiet, and it’s only a 10-15 minute walk to the busy parts. The rooms are older, but clean, and the bathrooms have been remodeled. There are only two Hilton brands in the city center. I’ve stayed at both, and the Marriott’s aren’t as close. If you want certain standards while still getting out to enjoy the city, this is the one for you.
