This place is very central to the Old Quarter and was welcoming and helpful. It’s both a hostel and a tour agency, so I booked a day out to Ha Long Bay and got picked up there. The room was clean and nice, with a balcony. There are stairs, so I wouldn't recommend it if you have trouble with them, though I didn't mind climbing them myself. They can help convert money to or from American currency. There are also umbrellas by the front door to use if it rains. I highly recommend the place.

The location is great, and the staff are kind and speak English very well. The laundry service was quick and really good. Rooms are fine, and the value for the price is excellent ;)

We booked four nights, but left the room within five minutes of arriving and booked another hotel. It was very dirty and looked completely different from the Agoda pictures. We asked to cancel and offered to pay for just one night even though we weren't staying, but they charged us for two despite our having spent less than five minutes in the room. They said it was non-refundable, then said they would let us refund just the two nights. A horrible experience. I wouldn't trust the reviews and pictures on Agoda.

I wouldn't recommend staying here. The pictures looked nothing like the hostel we found, which was dirty and unclean enough to feel like a safety concern. We'd booked three nights, but as soon as we arrived we booked somewhere else. Despite what we felt was false advertising from the hostel and Agoda, neither offered any kind of refund.

Don't get caught out. We stayed two nights and had a bad experience. The room and toilet floors were sticky and unclean, and nobody cleaned on the second day. The TV remote was dirty and didn't work. There was no free water, tea or coffee, or snacks. Never again, and I wouldn't recommend it. Be smart, and don't believe the Agoda or Booking.com reviews.
