LIVIE Ha Noi Ham Long

The quiet neighborhood was a real highlight. LIVIE Ham Long Hanoi is close enough to walk to Hoan Kiem Lake, the Old Quarter, and major sights, but away from the street noise and bustle. Staff were warm, attentive, and went out of their way to help, including allowing me a late check-out. I stayed in the Artist Premium Room, which had lots of space, was spotless, and felt thoughtfully laid out. The big bed was exceptionally comfortable, and having a washer and dryer made my long stay much easier. I'd happily stay here again.

The Wi-Fi failed for several nights, and the tech staff didn't seem to know how to fix it. One person said the building shares a single 100mbps cable across all rooms. We both worked remotely and were left stuck. There were ants everywhere, plus green and white mold in the bathrooms. The cleaner said it needed a special cleaning solution, but nothing was done during our five days. They made the bed, but left trash and didn't clean inside the sink. Construction next door was noisy, even on the upper floors. The check-in was a mess too. I asked about early arrival and understood when they said no, but they sent the check-in details 20 minutes after the 3 pm check-in time and then directed me to the wrong room. When I raised it, staff insisted I was mistaken and asked me to prove there was a room with a bathtub, instead of checking the booking. They only acknowledged the error after I sent my reservation screenshot. Then they demanded I leave within 15 minutes so other guests could check in, saying every room was booked. I was already rushing to the airport to pick up my family, and their delay had made things worse. Hours later, I came back to hear my reserved room was ready and that I'd been given a free upgrade to a higher floor. It was the same room shown in my original photos, with no difference beyond the floor. The pipe under the sink leaked badly, flooding the floor whenever we used it. At midnight there was nobody to fix it. They charged me for the foot towel I used to mop up their mess, the only one I could find, and dropped the charge only after I said the leak was their responsibility. For all this, their compensation was just a two-hour late check-out. They didn't try to fix the problems while we were staying there. I kept the chats and call logs to document what happened. They responded to this review nearly a month and a half after our stay.

The service stood out: they answered my WhatsApp messages right away. The room was roomy and had a rice cooker, microwave, fridge, utensils, and even an umbrella. It was a comfortable stay for a great price.

The food-prep facilities were set up well, which made things convenient. I also liked how the clean interior fit with the overall design, and the stay was very comfortable.
