Mia Hotel

I spent a week here and rested well, even though the stay had some rough spots. The big room had a window with direct sunlight, and the bed was very comfortable. The rooms are clean and well maintained, and the staff put in real effort to make things enjoyable. They responded well on WhatsApp, and the daily laundry was both good and cheap. Room cleaning was done every day too. The hot water took too long at first, but that was fixed. There was loud construction next door for two days, and the street right outside was a bit muddy and unclean. The hotel itself is tucked into a tight, dark alley. I’d check carefully which room you’re getting and talk with the staff about making the stay work for you.

We just wanted a place where we could sleep, but construction started in the hotel at 6:30 am and we barely got any rest. We’d booked another accommodation first, then came here after that booking was cancelled. It turned out our reservation was for a two-hour daytime stay, though we’d entered check-in times and everything. We woke early but still missed breakfast, and the staff weren’t very helpful.

The room was clean and great, and the hotel itself is lovely. But the shower had practically no hot water, so washing was difficult. There was also a construction site right below my window, and I couldn’t sleep properly.

The room looked like the photos on Booking, but I felt uncomfortable about the bedsheet, especially after learning more about the place’s short-stay setup. It seems to be used by local couples getting away from home, or by tourists for, well, you know what, though there are regular hotel rooms too. When I arrived, they said my Booking reservation for several nights was actually for a two-hour daytime room. I was tired after my flight and it was late, so I asked about switching to a normal overnight stay. They could do that, but at a higher price than the one I’d originally booked.
