Hoan Kiem Lake is just a two-minute walk away, and the weekend night market is right outside, with local food and plenty of atmosphere. The hotel is on a walking street that closes to vehicles every evening and night from Friday through Sunday, so that’s useful to know if you’re arriving late then. It’s a small, cozy hotel in the heart of the old quarter, and the staff are very welcoming. Breakfast is simple and practical rather than fancy, but I really enjoyed it. Great service and an excellent base for exploring Hanoi’s old quarter.

The room was comfortable and clean, and breakfast was great every day. We were right in the middle of the old quarter’s bustle, but the rooms were so quiet you could hear anything! Our room had an inward-facing window, so there was no view. That was the only downside, though it’s to be expected in a small city-center hotel. The staff were wonderful. I’d highly recommend this little gem.

We grew close to many of them, and their kindness made the whole place feel welcoming. They were also always ready with recommendations and help planning our days. The location was right in the middle of everything, with easy access to local markets and restaurants, yet peaceful enough to unwind. My husband and I used the hotel as a base for exploring the rest of Vietnam, and it worked perfectly. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and well equipped for relaxing after sightseeing. We loved our stay at the Oriental Suite Hotel. It exceeded our expectations and made the trip more memorable. We’d recommend it highly to anyone visiting Vietnam for comfort, convenience, or service, and we’ll return on our next visit.
