I almost never give one star, but this place earned it. We arrived at 11:30 pm and stayed just one night, even though we’d booked four. Our room wasn’t just dirty, it had a lot of mold and smelled awful. The price was cheap, but it wasn’t worth it. Please book somewhere else. I also couldn’t get hold of customer service. I messaged them on Agoda and got no answer, and the number they listed didn’t answer or reply either. I don’t mind a noisy, messy area when I’m traveling on a budget, but this place was a definite no.

The communication was all digital, so we didn’t meet any of the staff in person. They were still very helpful, sharing recommendations for shopping, food, attractions, and tour packages. It’s above a wet market, which made for a pretty interesting experience. For super budget accommodation, it was clean and well maintained. I’d recommend it if you’re on a very tight budget.

I was a little unsure after reading the reviews, but the place is right in the heart of the city and the room was big and clean. The owner was easy to reach on WhatsApp and very helpful and accommodating. For the price, it’s the best you’ll get in Hanoi. You enter through a Tofu shop on a tiny local street, but that’s part of the experience.

Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. When we got back in the afternoon, our room still wasn’t ready, so we switched hotels. Luckily, this was before we’d checked in, so we didn’t have to pay twice.
