S79 Top Hotel

The room was big, the morning breakfast and other food were good, and the employees were friendly and helpful. The location was quiet. A few things bothered me, though: it felt more like a guest house than a hotel, and the rooms or bathrooms often smelled. There was no iron in the room, and although they brought one when I asked, there was no ironing board. There was no shower curtain either, and karaoke could be heard at night. They let us check out late, at 4:00 PM, but took my manager’s phone and wrote the review themselves. I didn’t like that they pushed for a good review.

The staff were great, but the food was Korean style only. I couldn’t even get a bowl of pho for lunch, and the place felt like a little Korea in Hanoi. Sound insulation between rooms was awful: people in the next rooms were drunk and shouting, and smoke came through the bathroom vent. I won’t stay here again.

The stay was good, though the food was only moderate. The hotel is a bit far from the central city square.

The hotel is close to My Dinh Football stadium, and it’s a pretty good four-star option for this area. Finding the entrance was a little tricky since the way in shares a gate with a government building. I booked a deluxe single room, but got two twin beds joined together as one bed. That was still okay. Food choices were limited and mostly Korean style, and most of the guests I noticed were Korean.
