That encounter left me so offended. I was just walking by in the rain and stopped outside the hotel to open my umbrella. A man working at reception came out, upset, and repeatedly told me not to stand in front of “his” hotel. I explained I was only putting my umbrella up, but he kept saying he didn’t want me there. The bad reviews I found online afterwards didn’t surprise me. They don’t seem to care about kindness or customer service. After reading comments about dirty sheets, I can believe them, even though I never stayed there, based on how they treated someone on the street. Please spend your money elsewhere. Hotels in Hanoi are so cheap and so willing to help that you can avoid this one.

It was older than I imagined: old, dirty, and short on equipment.

Very central. The place had a shower, air conditioning, and a fan.
