The hotel is right in the Old Quarter, which we loved. Our room was cosy and clean, and the staff were always around to help. There was some noise, but after such a full day I slept well. Breakfast was good, with fresh fruit, and you could order from the menu without extra charge. After I booked, the manager got in touch with tour suggestions. We booked Ninh Binh, a Food tour, and Incense Village with them. I thought they were all worth it, especially the Food Tour with Bo. The photos are from the tours.

We couldn’t stay in the rooms because they were so awful, and the hotel wouldn’t refund us. The bedsheets were stained and the shower looked dirty. The rooms bore no resemblance to the Booking photos. We tried to pay by card, but they said the POS wasn’t working. Then they asked us to swipe our cards twice. In the end, we paid cash before seeing those horrible rooms. I’d avoid this “hotel.”

We spent two miserable nights here. There was a cockroach in the bedroom, the sheets were stained, and mould covered the walls. The musty smell was strong, and by 7 every morning it was incredibly noisy. The housekeepers need to keep their voices down.

The TV wasn’t working, though I don’t watch TV anyway, so it was fine. I stayed on October 10, 2025, and the visit was pleasant. Philip and the team were friendly and helpful, the room was clean, the cleaners were prompt, and breakfast buffet was good. I’ve booked again for March and am looking forward to returning.

We ended up here because the first hotel didn’t have rooms for our whole stay, and I’m glad we moved. Our small room was clean and had everything we needed. The location is ideal, just a short walk from the lake. It’s near the party area without being close enough to hear it. Management and staff were lovely and really tried to help. I’d definitely try to book here again.
