TITRI House Vinhomes Skylake Apartment

I had booked Vinhomes Skylake - Gem Apartment ahead of my business trip to Hanoi. On arrival, I found the inside double-lock latch on the front door was broken and couldn't be used, which immediately made me feel unsafe. I messaged the host or booking manager right away. Then I saw clothes all over the balcony drying rack and a washing machine still packed full of laundry. It strongly looked like someone was living in or using the unit. The host was driving and didn't respond for an hour and a half. While waiting, I spoke to the woman in the lobby who had helped me register my fingerprint. She was no help and acted unprofessionally, saying she knew nothing about the booking. I was too anxious to stay the night, so I booked another hotel and left. A broken lock is serious on its own. Finding a full load of laundry in the machine and wet clothes hanging outside on the day I checked in also showed poor management and a serious hygiene problem. The host refused to refund me, saying their “system” is to wash and dry clothes naturally inside the unit. They even said I must be new to Airbnb and that leftover laundry like this is normal. After I pushed back on those excuses, the manager admitted the cleaning staff had made a “minor” mistake, but still said it wasn't grounds for a refund. I've stayed in various Airbnbs many times and never had a place in this condition on check-in day. Even if this is somehow the property's own “system,” guests should be told ahead of time. If you visit, don't be surprised to find mystery laundry in the washing machine or on the rack. Management seems to think that's just how the place works, and that they don't need to tell guests beforehand, even if it catches them off guard or leads to a complaint.

I was comfortable during my week on S3's 9th floor, and the big lake in front of the apartment is great for walks. There's a K-mart in each of S1, S2, and S3, along with a hair salon, restaurant, laundromat, food court, and dental clinic. A large shopping center is beside S-1. It doesn't have many shops yet, but there's a big supermarket downstairs, a Kakao screen, and a few stores on each floor. It's convenient, and Miding Korean Town is across the street.

I had a pretty good time there and would come back with my family next time.

The staff were kind, and the restaurant has a lovely look and a comfortable atmosphere.
