I paid 175k VND per night for the male-only 8-bed dorm, booking directly with the host. It's a good value for the area, just a two-minute walk from Tây Hồ (West Lake). Cafés, street food, convenience stores, and ATMs are all close by, and the bus stop down the road takes you to the Old Quarter in 20-25 minutes. The host lady kept the simple dorm spotless with constant cleaning. With people sleeping so close together, there was snoring and morning noise, so bring earplugs or headphones. It's a friendly place in a calm lakeside spot, and I’d recommend it for the price. 4.5/5 stars.

The area was quiet, and the place was nice and close to shops and lots of cafés. The bathroom was really clean. My bedsheet wasn't very clean, though I hadn't asked them to change it and imagine they would've had no problem doing so. The bed was a bit hard, but aside from that I had a nice stay.

I paid 200,000 VND for five hours in a bed before an early international flight, and got no sleep. The room was boiling, with no AC and only a ceiling fan, so I had to open the curtains just to breathe. Other guests gave me strange looks that made me uncomfortable. The foreign female manager was extremely impolite and made me feel as though I were staying for free even though I'd paid. I absolutely regret booking here. Never stay here!

A family of six took the whole room with six bunk beds and shared the bathroom. The showers were hot and powerful. Right by west lake, there are loads of coffee shops, and you can take a good long walk into town along the lakeside. Laundry, beauty spas, and food are nearby too.

The family feeling made this the best homestay I've stayed at in Hanoi. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and there's a cute garden plus a cozy common area with basics like filtered water. Great value, totally recommend!
