Tung An Hotel

It's in a convenient spot for sightseeing and medical appointments, and the rooms are clean. The reception staff were cheerful and enthusiastic. I'll gladly come back and support this hotel next time.

The one thing in its favor is that Gate 3 of Bach Mai Hospital is within walking distance. The rest was a letdown, and I won't return. The room was small and cost 420,000 VND per day, but the quality didn't justify the price. The TV didn't work, the bathroom doorknob was broken, and the loose toilet lid still hadn't been fixed. The glass doors and mirrors were filthy, and the mattress was hard. For a guesthouse/hotel, there wasn't even a doormat in the living room, or a comb or disposable razor in the bathroom.

I've stayed here before for three days, paying 1.5 million for the hotel, and came back this time to support them. This visit left me very disappointed. I rented for under two hours, but still paid the originally quoted 160k for two hours. The receptionist kept insisting the other staff member had made a mistake. He answered, “How could the money be wrong? I clearly came in after 4.” I checked out before 6. If you're going to take people's money, don't go too far. Check the camera if you want. Are customers lying?

They first quoted 320k VND a night for a single room, but after guests booked two nights and one day, they charged 420k VND at checkout. There's no parking, so you have to leave the vehicle in the alley, and they charge 200k VND for that. The rooms aren't cleaned, toilet paper is scarce, and bottled water costs extra. This guesthouse is dishonest. Avoid staying here. 😏
